Want to Learn Archery?

Come and do one of our comprehensive Beginners Courses! We run 3-day beginners courses every two months during the year.

KuRingGai Bowmen has a number of coaches and instructors that are Nationally accredited through Archery Australia.

Courses run in February, April, June, August, October and December. Each course is run from the first Sunday of the month, for 3 consecutive Sundays, and caters for complete novices of all ages.

Session duration is on Sundays from 10.00am until about 12.30pm. We provide all archery equipment – all you need bring is a hat and sunscreen. Wear close fitting clothes and shoes, not sandals or thongs. Bring some drinking water as well, and perhaps a snack.

Beginners Course fees are $150.00 per head for one person, $135 per person in a group of two or more. See an online application form here.

When you complete the beginner’s course:

Once you have completed the beginners course, you should start to assess whether you wish to carry on with the sport.

You have another nine sessions during which to consider how you would like to proceed with archery.

Until you have your own equipment, you may continue to use club equipment for the hire fee of $10.00 per day.

After a couple of months, you should decide if you wish to continue with the sport and become an archer and member of our club. At this point formal membership is available.
